Privacy Policy

How we handle your information.

Last updated · 4 May 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how JARALWork (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, create an account, submit text for analysis, or contribute to our community datasets.

We are committed to handling personal information lawfully, transparently, and only for the purposes set out below. By using JARALWork you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

JARALWork is operated by JARAL Consultants (Pvt) Ltd., a private limited company incorporated in Pakistan with its registered office at Delta Tower, 43-Midway, Bahria Town, Karachi. For all privacy-related enquiries, please contact us at info@jaral-consultants.co.

What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the Platform and provide the educational features you sign up for:

  • Account information you provide during sign-up — your email address, optional display name, and target country/role preferences.
  • Text you submit for analysis — job offers, recruiter messages, contracts, or job descriptions you choose to paste into ScamShield Pro or the Application Toolkit. We do not require this text to contain personal information; we recommend you redact anything sensitive before submitting.
  • Salary submissions if you voluntarily contribute to the Salary Insights database — country, role, years of experience, compensation figures, employer category. Salary submissions are stored without your identity attached and are aggregated before display to other users.
  • Usage data automatically collected as you interact with the Platform — pages viewed, features used, broad geolocation (city/country), device and browser information.
  • Communications you send us by email or through support forms.

We do not collect or store CNIC numbers, passport numbers, bank-account details, or any payment instrument data on our own servers. Any future payment processing will be handled by a regulated third-party payment processor who collects and stores those details directly under their own privacy policy.

How we use it

We use the information we collect for the following limited purposes:

  • To create and operate your account and authenticate you on return visits.
  • To deliver the educational features you sign up for — red-flag scanning, visa pathway summaries, salary insight aggregation, and the application toolkit.
  • To improve the accuracy and usefulness of our educational content and AI prompts (using only aggregate, de-identified data).
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats against the Platform.
  • To communicate with you about important updates, security notices, and product changes.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under Pakistani law.

We do not use your information for behavioural advertising. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

AI processing of submitted text

When you paste text into ScamShield Pro or the Application Toolkit, the text is sent to our third-party AI service provider (currently Google's Gemini API) for analysis. That provider processes the text under their own terms and does not, per their published policy at the time of writing, use API submissions to train their public models.

Submitted text is logged on our servers for up to 30 days for the purpose of debugging, preventing abuse, and improving prompt accuracy. After 30 days the raw text is deleted and only de-identified usage statistics remain. You can request earlier deletion by emailing us.

We strongly recommend redacting personally identifiable information (your full name, CNIC, bank details, etc.) before pasting any text into the Platform. The features work just as well with redacted text.

Community-submitted data

The Salary Insights database is built from voluntary, anonymous submissions by Platform users. When you contribute a salary entry:

  • The entry is stored without any identifier linking it back to your account.
  • Entries are aggregated with other contributions before being displayed; no individual entry is shown to other users.
  • You may request your contributions be deleted at any time by contacting us, identifying the country/role/period of submission so we can locate the entry.
  • We may decline to publish entries we cannot reasonably verify or that appear designed to skew the data.

How we share it

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share limited information only with:

  • Service providers we depend on to operate the Platform — hosting (Netlify), database (Supabase), AI processing (Google), email delivery, and similar — bound by their own confidentiality and data-protection terms.
  • Professional advisors such as auditors and legal counsel, where required.
  • Authorities and regulators where we are legally required to do so under Pakistani law, including in response to a valid court order or regulatory request.
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the acquirer becomes bound by this Privacy Policy or one offering equivalent protection.

Cookies & analytics

The Platform uses functional cookies that are strictly necessary for sign-in, security, and remembering your preferences. We use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand aggregate usage patterns; this service does not set advertising cookies and does not share data with advertising networks.

We do not place behavioural advertising trackers on the Platform.

How long we keep it

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your account information is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, billing records under tax law).

Submitted text for AI processing is deleted after 30 days. Anonymous Salary Insights entries are kept indefinitely as they form part of the public-good aggregated dataset. Email communications are kept for up to 24 months.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate information.
  • Delete your account and associated data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to certain processing activities.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@jaral-consultants.co. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction — including encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only.

No online platform is 100% secure. In the event of a material data breach affecting personal information, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities promptly as required by law.

Children

JARALWork is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that an account belongs to a minor, we will delete the account and associated data.

International transfers

Some of the service providers we depend on (hosting, AI processing) operate servers outside Pakistan, including in the European Union and the United States. By using the Platform you consent to your information being processed in those jurisdictions, all of which are bound by either local data-protection law or contractual safeguards equivalent to those required by Pakistani law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email and via a prominent notice on the Platform.

Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 and any data-protection laws in force from time to time. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
